Had a great day at Addington.

Sky jumped his last Newcomers double clear which is great as he did it in four shows. Really if they don’t they have no chance. Now I will start in the Fox Hunters and the odd time do a 1.25 until the end of the year where I will try one or two Grade C classes.

Sparkles was in line for a show tomorrow but he came out quite wild, which I’m pleased he did otherwise I would have been worried. At least I know I can feed him up. So back to no feed for a few days until I’m back from Arena UK and then I must settle him down to a show.

I started a detox today, just simple meals and water cocktail only. I hope to lose a small amount of weight and stay hydrated in this heat.

I’m looking forward to Arena UK as he really needs a few days jumping, just to test him a bit. I’ve changed his bit to a Nathe Pelham. He’s quite strong in it but I love how he goes. He’s so quick and so sharp. I rode him in my showjumping field today and the going is finally perfect. It really is so good that I can practice my courses. And today we definitely needed to practice.

It was funny this week as I was asked out but this guy I’ve been talking to in the cafe. Men can be so disillusioned. Just because I said hello doesn’t mean I fancy anyone. He looked utterly shocked when I said no and even offered to take me out from the yard.

Firstly I cannot look at a man with a beer gut, albeit it was a small one but for me a gut is my number one turn off. I’ve never dated a man that wasn’t in good shape and some of these men need to look twice in the mirror as I think a lot of people dismiss their weight as not too bad. Personally I like very tall and slim men. I doubt I’d ever go out with a man I couldn’t where my heels with. Anyway I politely put him off. I’m hoping he doesn’t ask me again and just leaves it .

Mums back from holiday tomorrow and will be pleased I’ve been busy watering the plants. It takes exactly one hour to do, and in this heat they would die.

We have so many little shrubs growing and I’m glad I planted them as I know where they all are.

I rode Vanilla for the first time in ages and she wasn’t particularly nice on day one but by day three she remembered everything I had taught her. I really enjoyed jumping her and she feels amazingly scopey. It makes me very excited about Sparkles. I really have got the programme right.

So I’m off now for the week and will let you know how we do. Caio.
