I have had a very enjoyable week.
Amalies puppies are really growing at a rate and I’m pretty sure this is her best litter to date. For a middle aged dog I’m very impressed as to how well she looks and how well she is taking care of them. I’m starting to think this could be a very good side line for my business. I may buy another bitch and start to do a breeding programme. I was told three litters is max and this is Amelie’s fourth. TBH it hasn’t touched her in the slightest so I’m guessing it depends on the health of the dog.
The rest of the week has been easy, thank God as it’s been 27 degrees here which for me is super hot. Sky is off to Addington tomorrow to do hopefully his last Newcomers and then I can just concentrate on the Fox Hunter and a few Grade C classes. I’m pleased with this weeks work and I’ve been practicing a lot of what John Ledingham was helping me with. So I’m excited to see if things are improving.
Sparkles is going great and I’m so pleased as I couldn’t really afford to send him away. Actually he is so simple to do I’m really looking forward to him being shod today so I can take him off to a show soon.
Bambi is being vetted today and I am confident, so I suspect she will be leaving very soon. I will miss her but it’s the right time now for her to move on as I didn’t really have a job for her and she was quite time consuming. I think the owners will be better to invest in Agento now.
The next mission is to advertise Dazzle. She too must be sold and she is going so consistently now that I’m fairly sure she will make a very good horse for someone as she has a lovely temperament.
I’m off now to water the plants as I can see they are looking a little dry.
