Welcome to the yard
Whether you’re a complete beginner, an everyday hacker, returning to the sport after a long break, or looking for advanced tuition in competition disciplines, Pentonville Lodge has something to offer you and your horse.
Services include conditioning programmes for the advanced rider, bespoke clinics, pony club summer weekends for the under-15s, and regular weekend and away competitions for all levels of rider.
Facilities include a floodlit outdoor flatwork arena, horse walker, show jumping field, local cross country courses, all-year-round grazing, and the option of full, part-time and competition livery. The local bridle paths are well established and cater for pony trekking and casual hacking.
What we offer
Well-schooled, well-loved, fit and happy horses, and an experienced, qualified show jumping instructor. Group and private lessons, courses for the novice and intermediate rider, pony club summer weekends and away shows. Lessons are £70 for 50 minutes.

Owners need to know their horse is being sympathetically looked after by knowledgeable people. We hold long-standing relationships with feed merchants, vets, farriers and horse dentists, and every livery is flexible. Full livery £275 a week, part-time £200.

Under 15s and school holidays
Learn to look after a horse properly — feeding, mucking out, grooming, lunging, rugging up and fitting tack — with a riding lesson every day.
