All my horses went well on the flat today. Romeos stable water leaked so he had a very wet bed when we got there today, poor thing he didn’t much like standing in a swamp all night, but I gave him a nice bath and bandaged his legs up tonight to cheer him up.
Oscar went very well in front of his owners so I was very pleased about that. I really feel he is starting to understand his work and turning out to be rather nice. I’m looking forward to jumping him next week.
Vanilla, Romeo and Sabbers are of to Towerlands tomorrow for some practise over courses, so I will let you know how it works out. Mums coming with me. She doesn’t know yet and she will be disappointed when she realises its just us two and she will have to put the fences up. I will tell her on the journey.
Graham called today to say he will help me next week, thank God for that, everyone needs a coach, someone on the ground that is better than you, male or female it doesn’t matter but no one is so good that they don’t need help, even the top riders have coaches.
Anyway I will have an early night and try to continue to read Pillars of the Earth. I don’t think I have ever spent so long on the first 3 chapters. I know its a good book so I will persevere, but its hard work. I only read one page a night and I’m asleep. Good night …
