Hi there. I had a great time at The Royal Windsor Horse Show. Everything went to plan and Sabbers jumped a very attractive double clear. Unfortunately I was not quick enough for the line up, it was a very fast class, although she did every turn well and in a good balance. I think she spent to much time in the air which does effect the timing.

The show was affected by the harsh rain earlier on in the week and many classes had been cancelled, although my class had a strong field and it was wonderful to see the big crowd with lots of clapping. I felt Sablet did rise to the occasion.

Its really unfortunate that the entries have to be in so early for this show, as I don’t jump in the winter its hard to know what horses will be ready for what, with the benefit of hind sight she would have been great in a few other classes as her form has been outstanding this year. I think this is mainly to do with picking the right shows for her, where she can have a relaxed warm up as she doesn’t like horses coming towards her. This makes indoors very difficult, so a big out door warm up is perfect for her. I will check the diary and start making a plan for our next outing.

I met up with one of my friends from Egypt who has invited me on her yacht in august for a non horsey holiday. I am really looking forward to this and I shall take my boyfriend with me. I have not been away without something to do with horses for quite a few years, this will be a very special time for me and I cant wait.
