Good Morning

I have just got back from a two day show at Arena UK and gosh it was cold and bleak. It was very disappointing and the lack of effort at the show made for the overnight riders. I wouldn’t usually mind if they had told us to expect no showers and food as I would have equipped the lorry, but usually they have good facilities there and we were caught out.

Sabbers was really on top form, she did a double clear in both her 1.30s and made easy work of it. I actually thought the course was strong on Saturday and we coped well with it, but the Sunday was easier which was nice for her to finish on something like that, leaving her very confident for Royal Windsor next week.

Rocky was strong and sharp, it may be that I have to go back and ride him in the Pelham as his previous owner had him in as he is proving very strong for me, although the flat work is so much better now and he is softer everywhere. I am not feeling so confident when he is so strong on the take off, anyway, I will figure this out, just not there yet.

So this week is all about the preparation for Royal Windsor. I will keep you all informed.
