Its been a strange week.
It started nicely by going to church on Sunday, which I love. I have been longing to go for so long, but with the shows I have been missing a lot of the services. Anyway, finally I got there and talked to Dave the vicar. He told me Rose was not doing very well in the hospital, so Monday I decided to go and see her. I don’t think she was clear on who I was but I could tell she felt comfortable with me. We chatted about the weather for a bit then her son turned up, he was lovely, a big strong kind man. I could tell he was heart broken watching his mother die. I kissed Rose on the cheek and I said goodbye. She looked up and said I was so beautiful and at that moment I felt the spirits in us cross over, it made me cry.
I don’t know if I will see her again in this life time. I will try but she looks weak now and I think she is on borrowed time, but at least I said goodbye.
My client came over midweek and wanted to go to Ben Mayres for a jumping lesson, so i took him and Ben very kindly let us use his facilities, which are absolutely amazing, probably what you would expect from a champion. I will be taking my horses there for a school in the future as he has some super spooky jumps and a very big outdoor arena.
Yesterday I took Sabbers and Vanilla to Addington. Sablet usually jumps excellent at Addington, however she stopped at the last fence in the jump off, it was a very narrow green style made of plank, quite unusual. I still never imagined she would stop, but she did, had she not i had the quickest time and was clear, once again I felt my luck is just not with me at the moment.
Vanilla went very green and got eliminated at the double, it was too big and to spooky for her, so I went home disappointed again.
Today was my vets funeral. It has been very sad to lose him. I will wear my mourning clothes again this year, he was an amazing man, a good friend and the most trusting vet I could wish for. I am gutted I don’t have him in my life.
The funeral went better than I thought. I expected to get very sad but something happened half way through, as the vicar was praying I really felt the presence of God and Chris. I felt Chris saying he was healed and with God and in a place he wanted to be much more than here. This instantly made me happy as I was never sure if Chris new God or not, and this confirmed he is saved and was with him, back in his former glory. I could see in my mind how handsome Cris was, this was a very nice feeling. I have been very happy about this ever since.
After I came home I watched the tennis. I was absolutely gutted to watch Djokovic get beaten by Federer. He could have beaten him. He is a great player but I could see he stopped trying and gave the game away. I have never seen him do this before. He usually is casual and very chancy, but his timing is usually spot on. Today he made his comeback when it was too late. I felt bad for him, as I know that feeling so well, and sometimes there is nothing you can do about it.
Sometimes when I am playing I know I am going to serve so well, and I do, then another time i can feel its just not my match and it really hurts when you cant get back into it.
Anyay, I am going back to Addigton tomorrow and I am determined to win something on Sablet as I know that I can. This unlucky streak has got to break somewhere.
Until tomorrow then.
