Hi, this week I took Sablet, Sky and Clover to Addington, it was not really that successful, although I would say Clover jumped round the 7 year olds with ease and the Kimblewick worked very well. It was a tough track with a lot of questions for the horse and rider. I made a mistake and overestimated his fitness and found him a little tired towards the end of the track, which subsequently cost me the round.

Sky was very fresh, more excited than fresh, he had four faults so I decided to take him back on the Friday to jump a bigger class where he may concentrate a little bit more, he then went on to jump a spectacular clear round, unfortunately with a time fault. Sablet had a couple down, I feel I never really found the good rhythm with her, I’m hoping to work on that this week. My next show is Windsor and I’m looking forward to that a lot, although I am a bit nervous as there will be a big crowd there. I have learnt from Addington that I basically need to go a bit faster to avoid the time faults, or go on a much tighter track round the course.

Today the horses will have a rest and start tomorrow with the build up to the show on Wednesday.
