I had a great show yesterday. Romeo was 2nd, Rocky won the 1.15 with his Egyptian owner and Sabbers was 2nd in the 1.30. It was a very good jump off, very strong. So I was pleased. It was a good school for the 1.40 on Saturday at Arena UK.
Vanilla was very naughty and stopped at the first fence in both classes. I have no idea why. She would never be spooky enough to stop, it was infuriating as she jumped a very good round after that. So when she goes to Arena I will have to make sure this doesn’t happen again. Romeo was great. He is a winner and he just loves the surface there so I was so pleased with him. He rarely has a fence down and is very competitive.
I posted a picture of my wonderful boyfriend who is stuck in Syria with all this fighting going on. I was upset to read on Facebook the nasty comments some of the Americans made about the people of Syria. I know there is a lot of bad out there but Muslim or not you have to feel for the people that are just stuck in the middle of a war and are forced to take sides. I really feel for the innocent person, even though I am a Christian and the Christians are supporting the Assad regime. You cant blame them when they could face being thrown out of their churches if another leader took over. Its such a political mess. I really hope and pray it resolves itself in the near future as poor Abd is now a refugee, and that must be so distressing to be divided from your family and not knowing whats going to happen and when.
After that I think of myself and how lucky I am. Nik and i walked the dogs last night to the secret pond where they jumped in and swam for ages. It was so peaceful and so beautiful. My life is surrounded by lovely people and such tranquility. I’m so blessed. I thank God every day for my life. I strongly recommend when you get the chance to go for a walk in the forest or around some fields with a lake and study the countryside, it makes you realise there is a lot to be said about peace.
