What a week it’s been.

Its been 30c and I do mean boiling. Its been so hot that one of my puppies got sun stroke and very nearly died. I was very proud of myself bottle feeding him all morning and praying of course, and it made a full recovery.

Wesley jumped super today through a grid, Anna rode while I built. It’s better I am on the ground as I can concentrate on their problems. Wesley jumps a bit beyond the fence making his arc a bit late, this quite often will cause him to have fences down. Being naturally careful he doesn’t like it when that happens then tenses up a bit and doesn’t reveal his good jump.

I was able to work him through this today using a variety of poles, and it worked perfectly. I’m so thankful for my education at Waterstock House. We did a lot on improving the jumping technique in a horse.

I rode Vanilla for Anna after and she was strong but I was very pleased with the way she finished up.

Steve made a fabulous pen for the pups due to the sun stroke yesterday, and now I have to be very careful with them, as one very nearly died.

The yard is now looking beautiful and the people in it are even better.

Chelsea let me down today and came up with the overused auntie story to get out of work yesterday and today. It’s so annoying as it shows she has no real respect for her job. I thought she was so much better than that and to leave me with no staff and a dislocated finger really wasn’t on.

I was very lucky as a very charming yard girl came in and helped. She actually worked better and kept the place tidy all day, so I could relax and get on with my teaching,

Anyway customers tomorrow for Willow. Praise God these are the ones.
