Up early today.
Well I was up early today and so was Chelsea to be fair. We had to move some horses at 7am sharp and I had to ride one, muck out and feed and paint two stables before we left for show at 10am.
I’m painting like crazy as I’m running out of time. While I’ve got empty boxes I decided to paint the stables but they won’t stay empty for long so I am desperately trying to finish by the weekend so I can bring Sky and Sparkles in, .
Sky looks amazing by the way, like a stallion. I can’t wait to jump him again.
Today I went to Patchetts with Bambi and she was great. I do like her. She is such a trier. She jumped pants in the 1.15 so I decided to try the 1.20. She ended up in a 1.30 jump off and jumped a spectacular double clear. I was so pleased as she jumped it with ease. I don’t know if we were placed as I was first to go and left immediately after.
I just have to paint two more stables inside which I will finish tomorrow at which point I will start the outside, which I’m not looking forward to. Hopefully Nik will return like a knight in shining armour and rescue me.
Everything else is good. The horses are going well for the clients and I am giving lots of lessons. Tomorrow my good friend is staying for the weekend and I’m really looking forward to that. She will bring her beautiful horse and I will enjoy riding it.
I may go to a show to sport Nora Saturday and find something for Bambi on Sunday. She’s now ready to do the qualifiers. I’m happy as it’s a nice time.
Even though I haven’t got the horses that I want, I have peace and a good outlook. This is very comforting.
