A truly hard week.
 
This was a truly hard week but I enjoyed every minute of it. I’ve cleaned scrubbed and painted everything and the yard really does look beautiful and I’m delighted I got it done. There are one or two bits left to finish but I’m going to get Jacky to paint them for me as they are too intricate and I’m just not that good.
 
I won’t be getting a rest day this week as I’m taking Bambi to Patchetts tomorrow. I couldn’t resist as for one I love Patchetts, especially the indoors and it’s so local and friendly and two I’m just too busy to compete at weekends at the moment, so it has to be in the week. She’s improved so much I will really miss her when she’s sold.
 
I would like to buy her myself but what with the pending log house I just dare not spend any money at the moment.
 
Melissa came over and did some more clipping and what a relief that was. She made all my horses look really good and without any calmers or vets. So I was very pleased.
 
Nora rode Maggy superbly today and I was so pleased with her. She is going to do well at her dressage this year.
 
Unfortunately Argento was very naughty at the show for his owner and it’s a shame. At the moment it’s the blind leading the blind and he really does need sweetening up, either with me or another professional rider. It just doesn’t work when two people are doing different things, and its very confusing for the horse, but I’m very confident that he will come right if I get the chance to ride him for a month or two and take him to a few shows.
 
Rachel’s horse is very nice and I enjoyed schooling him for her this weekend. I gave him a jump and she will be pleased as he was very uncomplicated.
 
I will take Romeo to Patchetts with Bambi tomorrow as I have the time to ride them both.
 
Church was good tonight as it was a prayer evening and I enjoyed it.
 
Also I’m going to buy the follow up to The Shack on Tuesday. I’m hoping I can get it without ordering it. As I have a very good local book shop.
 
Teaching has been busy and I’m so pleased that I own such lovely horses that I can teach people to ride on.
 
It’s a nice time at the yard right now and I’m surrounded by the very best people. Tomorrow I’m bringing Sky and sparkles in over night and I’m looking forward to seeing them.
