Morning, had a good week, we have had a lot of rain here now so my paddocks and fields are really looking nice. The ménage really needs a lot of water so at the moment its perfect. The farmers will not be able to say the crops are bad this year that’s for sure so I look forward to it becoming cheaper again.
Alex and Sue lest the yard Sunday. I shall miss my chats with Sue. In the afternoon she comes up with a nice chocolate cake and makes a cup of tea. Gina’s horse arrived, she is lovely and we have called her Willow. Interestingly she was not easy for her feet to be picked out, so I hope there is no underlying problem there. I didn’t think to pick out her feet when we tried her. I mean you don’t do you.
Nik is here and has been tidying up the yard with me, gosh there is a lot to do. He and Steve have been sorting out my plantation area and I’m so excited at having my own fruit and veg, mind you Garbo walked up and made her mark on my potatoes. I was not happy about that.
This week I’m waiting to hear whether or not Bobby is coming back, sigh some people are so pathetic its not true. He was the sweetest little cob we had so I cant imagine what they don’t like.
Magpie went hacking yesterday, he is a star on the road and we managed to get one correct canter lead, he’s so sweet. Storm went to an unafiliated show course on Saturday and jumped a clear round. What a star he is so fab, he is in the magazine this week for £4,500 I hope I sell him. I would like to invest some money into myself now.
Dakar went well at the show, phew, as I’m now going to sell him. I always thought he was a super horse, I hope I’m right.
Sabbers is off to Patchetts on Wednesday and I am looking forward to that, and then the East of the UK on Saturday with either Romeo or Dakar. I will let you know.
I’m off now to get my hair done, poor Gina, you should see it.
Amelie’s pups look like there coming soon and all other animals seem happy and well.
I missed the church picnic as it was rained off. I was so looking forward to it as well, never mind, life is good and I’m enjoying every second of my yard life, God is so faithful you should see this place he has given me.
