The last few weeks have just flown past, I’m super pleased with my three horses , two of which I’ve bred and one which was the swap. Sky has been pretty consistent lately and placed in two out of two 125 m and jumps consistent double clears now in the foxhunter.
Sparkles is now a gelding and I think there is a big enough difference in his performance , he’s definitely more quiet and settled , he’s lost no jump . I took him to his first show indoors and he was a dream tbh. Providing he isn’t fresh he is ok to Handel .
Squeak was super at his first show and I thought chelsy rode him well. What a smashing girl she is .and has learnt so much now that she’s actually becoming a good showjumping rider.
On Wednesday I will take him and dazzle with her new owners to bury farm clear round , and sparkles and sky somewhere else another day.
The only fault with squeak right now is the buggar doesn’t load , Lars has given me some ideas on how to get him on the truck , Nik and I will be trying this tomorrow , what a performance he was at the last event .i seriously hope he improves .
Everything else in my life is good. I’ve been spending a bit of time with my real friends lately and I feel it’s been a form of cartharsis , it’s funny how sometimes you need to reflect on what’s going on around you take stock of it and decide is it want you really want . Recently i have had to make some tough decisions which I was uncertain about , I feel now I’m coming round the corner and I can see the light . People can put so many problems in your way and sometimes it’s easier to go it alone . I’m very grateful for God who is constantly advising me and making me realise something very special is just around the corner .
We are making progress on the house now and I’m super excited to have a meet with my cousin about the latest developments , I feel so strongly about it all happening this year. I have been dreaming of what this will be like for me for such a long time , I absolutely know it will happen , I can’t wait it’s going to be life changing for me.
Nik is back with me for a while , he’s been helping me tidy up the yard , this time of year thigs get messy. I’m very fortunate to have such a lovely friend in my life . We have some great chats and some good laughs .
Sablets foal is due in April and I’m so excited about that , many things are happening for me in April , I do hope it won’t all happen close together. Anyway I have a super busy week ahead and I will be writing very soon to keep u all updated.
