Wow, just arrived back with pi, beautiful hot sun, sitting outside with a cup of coffee looking across my fields thinking , I need to get out there and roll them . This is such a lovely time of year and I feel full of enthusiasm .
Sky was amazing , sharp as hell but John decided to stick the fences up, and my goodness he did jump them, tbh I wasn’t in doubt . He feels like a top horse, the more he learns the cocky he gets.
But it’s not an easy ride, John has highlighted the problems and it’s for me to do the homework , no one wants this more than me , when it comes to the horses , I love challenges .
So I came away as happy as I could be .
I had an uncomfortable chat with my client, I know she isn’t going to like what I had to say, but sadly I have a client who has been very draining on me over the last few months and the situation is going to just get worse , part of me feels for her condition , but I can’t let someone’s illness ruin the dinamics on my yard . I had to be harsh , so no doubt I’m the bad guy but I had to ask them to leave .
When you are in business you have to think about everyone , not just yourself . Lars explained to me that if you have a rotten apple , it rots the apple it’s next to and then the next. The best solution is to remove the rotten Apple to keep the yard happy.
This of course comes with a price , but you cannot put a price on peace of mind . I hope we can be civil and friends . I don’t like things to get ugly , but I know with people if they don’t get what they want they get bitter. But I’m a strong person and I can survive the bitterness .
So then I’m wondering who will replace them, I could get another horse to sell on , something for chelsy, or another luxery , but I’m thinking , maybe going into the dog breeding as a profession .
I’m partly geared up for it , I have the space , the buildings , the staff.
I will register cannon and beast as stud dogs , and reg Beauty and pots , not to put the prices up but to make them official.
