Today was not a good day at the show, I really felt my preparation was good and we were on track for a win at Windsor.
I put Clover in the B/C which was a strong technical course of 1.30/1.35 and I had a cracking round with a fast time, which was my aim this time, but once again down to the last line I did not get the distance right and he stopped at the combination. This was my fault and I really let him down. I will have to go to a show soon to drop him down a class or to for a while to regain his confidence.
I hate the feeling of letting a horse down when they try so hard for you, although we all really enjoyed the show.
Afterwards I felt bad all day, I will never do that again. I will go and do some course hire next week to get this right. Tomorrow I will go to the show with my friends and family and watch. I will feel better on Friday as I will take Clover for a small class at our local show.
