I woke up this morning and went to the yard as normal to help Shayleen as she was going to be on her own up the stables. When I drive in I always look up at the horses in the field. I was pretty certain I could see a small brown shape close to vanilla. Was it her new born foal i was waiting for? I walked up to check and sure enough it was the most beautiful chestnut colt two white socks and a big white face, I called him Sparkle.
Unfortunately it was not plane sailing as Vanilla was struggling to produce milk as Sparkle was born a couple of weeks premature. So I ended up in Newmarket with both of them praying this would all work out fine. So the rest of the day was left to Shayleen to lunge them all while I was away. I am hoping the vets will tell me some good news tomorrow, praise God!!
