It was a scary day yesterday. I gave Romeo a bit of flat work and when I was walking him off he felt lame. I thought about asking the vet to look at him when he came to see Sky, as Sky seemed to be short in front. Well as I was leading Romeo into his stable his legs gave way and he flipped over. He laid there for a while as he was clearly cast, when he got up he seemed fine. When the vet checked him over he suspects there maybe something wrong with the sacroiliac joint in his spine, so he is now off work and will go to the vet college next week.
Some good news is that the vet has has found a nasty little bruise in sky’s foot which would explain why he has not seemed himself recently. Thank Go, as I really didn’t want to retire him yet. So I’m now going to concentrate on Sabbers and Vanilla for the next show. I will keep you posted.
