Well I just arrived back from Weston Lawns and as usual a lot has happened. The show was nice however being lost on the journey to get there was tiresome. Thanks to a good friend I arrived there in the end. It had absolutely poured with rain for the first 3 days, can you imagine. I was missing cuddling up to my cat.
Anyway despite that Sabbers jumped a classic good round in the 1.30 and as usual I was not placed. So tired of being too slow the next day I upped my game only to get to close to the last fence in the jump off so 4 faults stopped me winning and I had the fastest time.
On the third day I jumped a good round with another unlucky 4 faults. Poor Sabbers she really tried her best for me, but I’m learning all the time and its getting better.
Romeo went well but he stopped the 1st and 2nd day. It was too spooky for him but he pulled himself together at the end and jumped a quality clear round. My other horses jumped well. I took some clients who were a bit disappointed. I’m not attracted to people who want their egos massaged so there was a bit of a clash of personalities. I think the next time I will take my own people with me so I have better control of whats going on.
My cat was pleased to see me home and brought me a bird. Lucky mum was here.
On the way home Romeo spooked at something whilst loading and jumped on my foot, I’m mean it really hurts. I don’t know how its not broken.
Amelie was ill and for a day or two the pups suffered but all is ok now, and finally Sabbers came off the lorry lame, looks like a splint, so the vets due in tomorrow.
Still at least I had a lovely chat last night with a Facebook buddy from the US, that was a nice way to end a bad day.
Oh and before I forget, not being one to hold grudges my x boyfriend was at the show so I said hello. I mean come on why not, its been 6 years. Anyway he sms me last night asking why I smiled at him. Jeez ummhh, anyway he asked me if i was mocking him. I’m thinking I cant be that bad can … ?
