Hi I’m back from skiing and what a blast. I haven’t skied since 2003 so I was very rusty. At first I wondered if I was actually going to be able to do it. In the beginning I had some lessons and after that I was flying, and I do mean flying. I was probably as fast as the most competent skier there. Melissa was on great form and we had a lovely time. The rest of her group were really nice people and were all with their partners, which wasn’t to awkward as the boys seemed to want to stick with the boys and the girls with the girls, so it worked out very well with me being there. One of the girls was really nice and sadly her partner fractured his back on the snowboard on the last day. I felt really sorry for him, he was a very good boarder. So it just shows you anything can happen to anyone.
The hotel was lovely, thank God, although the facilities were very expensive, but I went for it anyway, facials, massages etc., I ate out each night and wasn’t impressed with the slopes for food. I mean fancy finding a kebab shop on the mountains, ummhh no words …
Anyway back home to a bit of trouble. One of the girls isn’t happy with the livery, people amaze me, they just seem to forget the service you offer them and take so much for granted. Poor Demi has been on her own all week and rushed off her feet, and as you know I don’t holiday much so it was a bit of a one off, but you cant please everyone. When it happen it best to let someone move on. In my experience when they are not happy you cant make them happy and a new person always freshens the place up, or a fresh attitude does anyway.

Other than that I’m very happy to be back. I haven’t missed the horses at all, but I guess when I start riding them I will remember what I love.
Vanilla, Sabbers and the colt will all be in work. I may find someone to loan Sky as I don’t think retiring such a horse is an option, but only to someone who is really going to love him, although this will take a bit of thought, and of course he will live with me forever.
Anyway, I’m tired and off to bed. I will let you all know what I get up to now things are back to normal.
