Hi, I took Sablet and Windsor to Addington yesterday. I was very pleased with Sablet as she jumped a very positive clear in the 1.25 but I was not going too fast as its only her second show. I think we need to get a bit of consistency again. She also jumped a very good 1.30
I thought the 1.30 was fairly strong and the most worrying line was a vertical off the corner to a dog leg and short 7 strides into a combination. I decided to go on six as it was towards the end of the course and although I knew she would be getting strong by then, I think it was the right choice although I did clip the front rail of the combination. I am still very pleased with her.
Windsor (Rocky) did a nice 1.25 round but spooked at a brush fence in the 1.30. This took me by surprise and I came off. I was not sure why he spooked at that, but in reflection I felt him back off at the water, which I should have spurred him on at and I think he lost confidence at the spooky brush fence.
I practised over some water last night and I hope it is enough. I am going back with both of them today to try again.
