Hi There.
I had a great show yesterday. I took Romeo and Sky to Bury Farm. Romeo jumped two double clears, and they were really quick rounds. I just cannot understand why being placed seems to elude me, if there were prizes for stylish double clears I would win everything.
Anyway, more importantly we are on the right track after the long rest, so a possible Patchets on Wednesday where I will put him in the 1.15 then come home,. I will then take him to Felbridge on Sunday with Sky and Vanilla. I guess Anna will ride both.
I feel a few more rounds in the 1.15 for Romeo and thereafter I will tackle a 1.20. I hope to God I can get this horse back up to the 1.30 again, mainly because he is such a winner, and a thrill to ride, and Steve is such a great owner, not only does he love him but he comes to every show with me and supports me.
Sabbers will be concentrating on Herts County this week. I pray the going is excellent for her, otherwise she is coming home. I wont risk her on hard ground. I would like her to jump the accumulator as she is so good at them and usually we get placed. However this is our first this year but it will speed us up for future events if nothing else.
Anyway, I have been doing a lot of double clears lately, surely a win is round the corner. I keep telling myself good things are on the way, sigh!!
My tennis career on the other hand has taken off. I have been asked to play two matches a week. I cant tell you how excited I am about that. This is a sport that I feel I do have a talent for, unlike riding where I have to work my bones off.
