Hi There.
I had a good weekend. I decided not to jump Romeo and just concentrate on Sabbers this weekend. I think I ride her better when we are on our own.
I decided to try a new place, which I have not been to for a few years called Vicarage Farm in Sussex. I have to say I loved it. As soon as we pulled up I could see this incredible jumping field with every spooky fence in a perfectly manicured field.
I am now jumping a lot  more on grass now as we have had so much rain. Pretty much anywhere in the South East is going to have good ground, but Vicarage is known for good ground.
Sabbers had one fence down in the 1.30 as it was a short four strides in the jump off. I didnt sit her back enough, so she clipped it, damn shame as there were not many clears.
In the next class which was a 1.40 she came 3rd. I was so pleased as we have done so many double clears lately but had no winnings. I did not think she would be quick enough, as it was all turns in the jump off with tight angles. I cannot turn her so tight as she has a very big stride, so I opted to go for speed, as she can be very fast, she was great, fast and careful. I beat a lot of good riders, I was well chuffed.
This week I am off to Weston Lawns, she likes it there although I am not sure about Romeo. I am feeling very good about my riding right now, so I am optimistic. I will keep you informed.
I am now off to collect Remington as he escaped this morning and has wound up with the dog warden, another £88, so annoying.
