Well its been a busy week and the Olympics have been amazing. I was fortunate enough to go with some friends from the yard to see the XC, and it was quite incredible to say I have been, today. I will watch it from home. I am not a lover of crowds and queues, as you get older you lose the interest of the hustle and bustle that comes with these events and find yourself at home more often. The TV coverage is so good there is little point. As you know we have been winning gold medals so far for our sport and this just proves how many great riders and horses we have. I am so excited about this. Its so inspiring, although the media should be shot down for cocking up all the riders results and names, sigh …

So Sablet is having a little rest. She will start to get ready for Hickstead and all the other horses have really turned a corner. I am actually really pleased that Vanilla has turned a corner. She jumped very well at home yesterday and I am pleased with the work I have been doing with her, finally its all coming together. There is a big careful jump in there somewhere, but she is so tense about it. Its amazing as I never thought of her as that sensitive.

My colt is a dream, I love him. He is the complete opposite, he is natural and quick thinking. He learned his lying changes in one go. I am so impressed. He is sharp, has pace and he will be very good, you wait and see.

Rocky has finally started to settle down. This is also quite amazing as he has been difficult again and strong and tense. Its so hard to build power on tension, but when you can get a horse to relax its incredible how they can change. So all in all things are looking good with the horses for the future.

I missed the show today but will try and take a few to Felbridge over the weekend. The yard looks great and I am in the process of buying some lovely new show jumps and will make a new stable and get some ground work done.
