Hi Guys.
 
I just got back from Hickstead. I can really say that I enjoyed myself. Sadly I only took Rocky and Vanilla as Sabbers and Pegasus were lame, and Rocky’s owner wanted to ride him, so I went as trainer.
 
That was fine with me and I got a chance to ride him today and he jumped a very smooth double clear. Rocky is on super form and finally we have a partnership and I feel it’s really improving each time I sit on him. I would like to teach him to trust me on a standoff, as at the moment he only trusts me on a deep one, but a stand off is good in a jump off. I think he will in the end.
 
Vanilla is lame behind, we are not sure what’s caused it as her X-rays are good. I think she was born week in the hocks and this hasn’t helped her, but after Tuesday I think she will be a lot better for the rest.
 
Sabbers now seems fine so I shall wean her off the Bute and see how she goes. I am thinking of buying her a new saddle too if she stays sound. I couldn’t resist and bought myself a new hat, my favourite the Anteres  it’s French and I love it.
 
I am still waiting on Reece Oliver for my jumps and the paddock is ready. I’ve been mowing it to a perfection all week and ridden a few out there, it’s so exciting riding on grass the horses love it.
 
Pegasus is sound and his bruise has gone and I’m looking forward to taking him to Arena UK to give him a test. I will do the 1.25 and then the 1.30 and then 1.40 if he is going well there.
 
Nik has done plenty at the yard and it looks lovely, but sadly he left earlier than planned due to family commitments. He strimmed, trimmed and swept the place to a perfection, I’m very happy with things, and to top the lot to come home to my beautiful house and garden is great. Berni my gardener is a fantastic messenger from God. I swear it looks like it did in the Victorian days. A lovely little path with trees and flower beds. God you wait until I show you a picture tomorrow, you will love it. Anyway, I must fly as I’m tired and I promised myself I would read a good book tonight.
