Good Evening.
 
Gosh what a week, its been awful. The show should have been good but I fell off on day two, so that pretty much ruined everything. It was a bad fall. As the horse went to take off he hesitated and put down in front of the fence which was a very spooky black and white zebra fence. I went straight over but fell crashing into the fence and a plank hit me in the lower back cracking on my coccyx. Yes very painful. I hung in there for a day but it just was too painful to continue. I was so disappointed to let the horses down and my clients, but thankfully they were pretty cool about it.
 
I managed very well at the show considering I didn’t have a helper. I paid Graham Lovegroves groom Mark to help me a bit and a couple of other riders I knew were really great warming me up.
 
Pegasus jumped well but he had four faults on both days. I thought he was very easy and competitive and it was a pity I fell of Rocky as I was sure we were going to connect very well. I think with Rocky having got him going so well outdoors, I still had my outdoors head on and should have remembered he cant do long and these courses are all ways better for long strided horses, like Sabbers. Anyway I am not dwelling on that and he jumped good today so all is forgiven.
 
Ball Ball was great as you can see from the photo at the show. I love that little fellow.
 
When I returned home from the show Vanilla had a serious colic and Romeo had fallen over and hurt his back. So all in all I was injured and so is everything else I have right now, sigh.
 
Anyway, Vanilla was admitted to Herts College and thankfully she is OK and I will pick her up tomorrow. I have to say I really was impressed with the staff and my new vet Jason. Yes I am very impressed and again very happy my horses are in their hands.
 
I managed to not sleep the last 4 days, firstly because of the pain in my back and secondly because each horse has given me something to worry about. But tomorrow is another day and its going to be great, as Johnny starts working on the yard doing the improvements and the new patio doors are being fitted at home, so I am happy and excited about that. I am also feeling much better  after going home for a couple of hours sleep today and Chloe, my new groom seems very good and coping without me.
 
Rodney is leaving which is a shame as I do love him, but I think the responsibility is to great for him, so Chloe is going to work for me instead.
 
I will take Rocky to Addington on Tuesday and hopefully Pegasus too if his owner does not decide to ride and I pray my back will be OK by then.
 
I am feeling optimistic.
