Happy Easter to you all.
I’ve really enjoyed Easter weekend. I’ve been training very hard on the horses and all have been to shows and been placed. Rocky jumped a good double clear in the 1.30 and Pegasus was 5th in the 1.25. Bambi was 2nd in the 1.10 and 1.15 and Sky (my colt ) was second in the Newcomers. So you could say I’m very happy.
Lars has been great as he’s been studying my videos and just making one or two comments to help improve things, and I have really been working on the things he has mentioned, which has made me feel really confident about my riding.
It is so important to keep yourself and the horse balanced, and with this in mind so many other things come together.
My horses are all going very well on the flat and even Dazzle is looking very promising. I have to thank God all the time for the wisdom he has given me, and the chances to breed such top class young horses. My goal this year is to win the 4 and the 5 year old class at Addington’s top young horse show. So please wish me luck and watch this space.
I had a phone call from Dennis this week. Its nice that he keeps in touch but strange how he says he is thinking about me so much but never manages to pick up the phone. I’m wondering if he is totally gutless and waiting for me to make the first move. There is absolutely no point in me making the first move as I’m an old fashioned sort of girl, and it does not go with the way I was brought up, and besides it would probably mean I have to constantly make the first move after that too, which would bore me senseless.
One thing I have definitely learnt is I need a forward thinking positive male mate that’s intelligent, so I figure he will work that out, if he has brains. I’ve been out with too many men that have everything but brains, so next time I’m picking brains above beauty.
