My Birthday Book.

When I read my birthday book for this year it told me I would have a very difficult year. Maybe I shouldn’t have read it as since then everything has been difficult.

Yesterday I was driving along just talking to God when a Police women jumped out with her camera and gave me a speeding ticket for driving at 39 MPH in a 30. I was so annoyed as it’s the first time I’ve ever had a clean licence and as I was caught in the car I can’t actually give the points to Nik.

Then I got to work it lashed with rain all day making everything tiresome. Having said that I don’t mind the rain as when it’s warm I hate hard ground. So the show jump field is absolutely amazing.

Today I took Grace and Claire to Keysoe and we had a blowout on route. OMG it was so loud I thought the lorry floor had fallen apart. As soon as I looked in the wing mirror I could see the tyre flying round the road.

As luck would have it, it broke down pretty close to the garage in Hitchin so they were pretty quick to sorting it out, but hey what’s that about firstly I haven’t had a blow out in ten years and secondly I was just telling Claire my vet had a rare puncture causing him to be late yesterday, and then bam !!!

The show was OK and I’m glad I took them. It gave me a chance to watch Agento. I felt sorry for Claire as I was trying to fill her head with how to get him round where as with Grace it was a forgone conclusion she would find it all easy with Eddy (he is just the best horse ever) it makes you realise there is so much enjoyment to own a straight forward horse. Anyway they both did OK. I decided I should ride Agento next week as I think he needs to complete a  course as he is a bit cheeky.

The lorry made it home thank God. I was praying all the way. I love that new lorry but I do hope it’s not going to be one of them. I guess she has stood still for so long and I’m paying the price for that. Other than that I couldn’t be more happy with it.

Sky still doesn’t have a shoe so I’m not able to ride him. I’m hoping Olly will come ASAP to sort it out. Funny but now I’ve got a seriously good farrier they do keep losing shoes.

Steve has been helpful painting and strimming and the place looks super lovely and I bought some shrubs to fill in my gaps in the fencing. Mum is in tomorrow and I guess she will do some planting. To be fair other than my recent bad luck the yard really does look at it’s best.
